METHOD OF WASTEWATER INCLUDING CHROME

PURPOSE: A method for treating wastewater including chrome is provided, which is characterized in that wastewater including organic matters is used for reducing chrome component and chemical oxygen demand. CONSTITUTION: A method uses treating water including organic matters from cokes oven gas instead of extra reducing agent. The rate of volume of the treating water about the wastewater including chrome is 1 : 0.5 - 1.5 because this range is appropriate to remove chrome compounds and chemical oxygen demand sufficiently. When the wastewater is mixed with treating water, the organic matters included in the treating water lose electrons and oxidized. The chrome compounds included in the wastewater are reduced, and precipitates are settled at pH 7 or more. Sodium hydrate or slaked lime is used for controlling pH of the solution at 7 - 8.
