METHOD FOR MAKING TRANSITION OF STATE OF MENU USING SUBMENU

PURPOSE: A method for making a transition of the state of a menu using a submenu is provided to enable a transition to a detailed function of the submenu under the state that the menu is displayed, and show more information to a user, by deleting the submenu after executing the function of the submenu. CONSTITUTION: If an initial menu selection screen is shown(201), a controller checks that one of the menus on the initial menu selection screen is selected(203). If a menu has been selected, the controller displays the information corresponding to the selected menu(205). After the display of the information, the controller checks whether a submenu selection key is pressed(207). If a submenu selection key has been pressed, the controller displays a plurality of submenus corresponding to the displayed menu(209). These submenus are displayed on a lower part of a displayer while the menu is still displayed. The controller checks whether one of the submenus is selected(211). If any submenu has been selected, the controller performs the selected submenu and deletes it and then displays executed information of the selected submenu(213).
