METHOD FOR CONTROLLING RECEPTION OF SHORT MESSAGE IN MOBILE WIRELESS TERMINAL

PURPOSE: A method for controlling the reception of a short message in the mobile wireless terminal is provided to set and receive a SMS(Short Message Service) message selectively according to a user's necessity. CONSTITUTION: If a SMS message is received from a system service center(501), a control part checks a teleservice identifier of the received SMS message to check whether the SMS message is a receiving restricted SMS message(502). If the received SMS message is not the receiving restricted SMS message, the control part stores the SMS message in the receiving box of a memory and informs to a user that the message has been received(506). If the received SMS message is the receiving restricted SMS message, the control part ignores the SMS message and doesn't inform to the user that the message has not been received(504).
