PURPOSE: A thermoplastic composition, which shows good chemical resistance, processing property, mechanical strength and transparency, and a method of preparing thereof are provided. CONSTITUTION: A thermoplastic composition comprises: (i) 8-15 wt. parts of conjugate diene rubber latex; (ii) 40-70 wt. parts of methacrylic alkyl ester compound or acrylic alkyl ester compound; (iii) 15-30 wt. parts of aromatic vinyl compound; and (iv) 1-20 wt. parts of vinyl cyanic compound. The thermoplastic composition is prepared by adding a mixed emulsifying solution containing 40-70 wt. parts of methacrylic alkyl ester compound or acrylic alkyl ester compound, 15-30 wt. parts of aromatic vinyl compound, 1-20 wt. parts of vinyl cyanic compound, 0.2-1.2 wt. parts of emulsifier; 0.2-0.6 wt. parts of molecular weight controlling agent and 0.05-0.6 wt. parts of reaction initiator.
