PURPOSE: A process for preparing a plate glass substrate is provided, which is useful for a plasma display panel, to reduce the number of the procedures followed in a process and equipment, which may be induced by the easy in forming dielectrics and the replacement with spray paint. CONSTITUTION: A subject substrate manufactured by the process is described in figure 1 in detail. Referring to figure 1, the substrate is comprised of a white dielectric, i.e., dielectric structure(2), address electrodes(3), septum(4), paint particles(5) and a metal plate(7). Characteristically, the dielectric structure(2) is formed by electrifying paint for forming dielectric structures, and spraying the resulting paint, with controlling electric potential of a glass substrate and those of address electrodes formed on the glass substrate. The process is also characterized by comprising parts or all of the structure which is formed with the white dielectric, septum, a black dielectric layer on the surface of the substrate in order.
