PURPOSE: A digital broadcasting receiver with automatic control capability of the brightness of OSD(on screen display) data is provided to detect the brightness of the region corresponding to the OSD data to adjust the brightness. CONSTITUTION: A digital broadcasting receiver with automatic control capability of the brightness of OSD data includes a display(26), a de-multiplexor(21), a MPEG decoder(23), a memory(24), and a controller(22). The de-multiplexor(21) divides received digital image signal into video data, audio data, and others. The MPEG decoder(23) decodes divided video data and audio data from the de-multiplexor and outputs an image data from a memory. The memory(24) stores the decoded video data, audio data, and OSD data and outputs the video data and the OSD data as one image according to screen configuration information. The controller(22) controls the brightness of the stored OSD data. |
