METHOD FOR SELECTIVELY PLAYING VIDEO FOR ADULT IN VCR SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A VCR system is provided to detect a videotape for adult by control of a microcomputer in the VCR. CONSTITUTION: A grade of tape inserted in a deck is detected by checking if a playing key is inputted with a remote controller. An inputting screen of password is outputted on an OSD(on screen display) screen when the tape is decided as the tape for adult. And it is decided if the inputted password and a previously set password are conformed each other when the password is inputted by a user. The playing mode is performed when the passwords are conformed and the stand-by mode is performed when the passwords are not conformed. Because it is prevented that a minor watches the tape for adult, a minor's emotion is reliably protected.
