PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to prevent short damage between a storage electrode and a gate bus line and between a storage electrode and a data bus line. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes a substrate, a plurality of gate bus lines(11) and data bus lines(13), a switching device, a pixel electrode(15), a storage electrode(17), a gate dielectric layer, and a first and second branches(18a,18b). The plurality of gate bus lines(11) and data bus lines(13) are arranged in a matrix form on the substrate and confines unit pixel area. The switching device is implemented on each cross section of the gate bus lines and the data bus lines. The pixel electrode(15) is implemented on each region surround by the gate and data bus lines. The storage electrode(17) is formed on a plane on which the gate bus lines are formed in parallel with the gate bus lines and is imposed with the pixel electrode to form a storage capacitance. The gate dielectric layer insulates between the gate bus lines and the data bus lines. The second branch(18b) is extended from the first branch(18a).
