PURPOSE: An optical pickup device is provided to reduce a cross-talk generated by a neighboring track generated when an optical recording medium of high capacity having a narrow track pitch is recorded/played. CONSTITUTION: A one polarized beam, that is an S polarized beam, reflected from a main track is detected in a first optical detector(71) by an optical arrangement and the other polarized beams, that is P polarized beams, reflected each from neighboring tracks of main track are detected in a second optical detector by adding. Because the one polarized beam irradiated in the main track and two different polarized beams irradiated in neighboring tracks are formed as an optical spot on an optical disc in parallel, a time delay is not generated between signals detected from the first and the second optical detectors(71)(72).
