PURPOSE: A method for managing a paper jam error in a printer is provided to effectively processing a paper jam error in a short time to continue a printing operation immediately. CONSTITUTION: A method for managing a paper jam error in a printer includes the steps of determining whether a paper jam occurred or not(S1), opening the printer and drawing out a paper at a paper jam occurred in a paper supplying path(S2,S3), cleaning a latent image by printing a solid image on a photosensitive belt in a printing unit after the drawing out of a paper by passing papers remained in the paper supplying path in a normal printing route by driving conveying rollers provided in the paper supplying path(S5), and collecting waste papers by guiding the paper printed with a solid image to an additional waste paper collecting tray(S6).
