PURPOSE: A method for forming a fluorescent layer is provided to improve the luminance, the contrast white uniformity, and the bright uniformity by making the thickness of the fluorescent layer uniform. CONSTITUTION: A three color layer is formed on the inner surface of a color cathode ray tube by a drying method. A negative photoresist material is coated on the upper surface of a panel in which a black matrix is formed. A fluorescent body core is attached to the structure. A light is selectively irradiated on a wanted area, and then the structure is hardened. The rest part of the structure is washed by water.
