PURPOSE: A locker for a front loading door of a videocassette recorder is provided to selectively control the opening and closing operation of the front loading door. CONSTITUTION: An opening and closing operation of a front loading door(30) is controlled by a locker(50) inserted to a cassette inserting aperture(22) of a front panel(20). If a user plans to open the front loading door, the user pushes a button(64) with a thumb while holding handles(54) of the locker. Then, the lower end of the front loading door is replaced from hanging grooves(58) for being rotated centering upon a hinge shaft(32). Therefore, the front loading door is opened to be released from the front end of an arm(56). Then, the user slowly withdraws the locker from the cassette inserting aperture while holding the handles. And, the front loading door rotates to close the cassette inserting aperture, and the opening and closing operation of the front loading door is possible. Herein, the locker is withdrawn from the cassette inserting aperture by using fingers of both hands for a child not to withdraw the locker easily.
