PURPOSE: An apparatus for displaying control data warning of television and a method thereof are provided to display a warning message when a control data setup by a user is smaller than a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for displaying control data warning of television includes a tuner(2), an audio processor(6), a speaker(8), a video processor(10), a CRT(12), a memory(18), a control data comparator(19), and a controller(15). The memory(18) stores reference control data. The control data comparator(19) compares the control data set by a user with the reference control data. The controller(15) displays a warning message of the control data on the CRT(12) when the control data set by the user is lower than the reference control data.
