OPTICAL FIBER PRESSURE SENSOR

PURPOSE: An optical fiber pressure sensor is provided to precisely detect pressure by detecting a phase difference of the optical fiber in an optical detector when a length of the optical fiber is varied. CONSTITUTION: An optical fiber pressure sensor includes a metal supporting member provided with a coupling part defining a space and a pressure sensing part coupled to the coupling part. A pressure transmission passage is formed on a lower end of the metal supporting member. The pressure sensing part is formed of an optical fiber and is comprised of a reference signal optical fiber(31) and an inner elastic member(33) disposed around the reference signal optical fiber(31). An outer elastic member(34) is disposed around the inner elastic member(33). A space is defined between the inner and outer elastic members(33,34). An optical fiber(32) is wound around the outer elastic member(34) and an optical fiber protector(36) is disposed around the optical fiber(32).
