PURPOSE: A handcuffs is provided to prevent unlocking of the handcuffs by any other instruments except a corresponding key by forming a pinion on a main body to be engaged with a rack part of a locking arm. CONSTITUTION: A handcuffs includes a pair of receiving arms(10) formed with a main body(11) and separated by a predetermined interval with each other by a hinge(12) and a pair of locking arms(20) corresponding to the receiving arms at a lower part on the hinge, wherein a rack part(21) is formed at a lower part of the locking arm, a pinion(30) is mounted at the main body of the receiving arm to be engaged with the rack part of the locking arm, a latch wheel(40) is provided at one side of the pinion, and a stopper(50) is mounted on the main body at one side of the latch wheel for preventing counter-rotation of the latch wheel, wherein another pinion(30a) is mounted at the other side of the pinion to be engaged with the rack part formed on the locking arm.
