PURPOSE: An interface unit of PSTN and LAN for data communication is provided to perform data communication by using only an interface device without installing a modem in a personal computer. CONSTITUTION: An interface unit of PSTN and LAN for data communication comprises a LAN interface portion(31), a PBX interface portion(32), and a storage portion(33). The LAN interface portion uses a LAN protocol, converts data transmitted through a highway an upper layer of TCP/IP, and transmits received data to a corresponding IP. The PBX interface portion loads transmitting data in bit units to the highway and coverts the received data to the data read in the LAN interface portion. The storage portion stores the converted data of the LAN interface portion and the PBX interface portion.
