PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability and to read information out of a recording medium with >=3 light beams at the same time. SOLUTION: One light beam 10 from a laser light source 1 is split by a diffraction grating 3 into five light beams 103 to 107, which are converted on a specific track on an optical disk 121 by using an objective 5. A control part 6 controls the direction of the objective 5 as an optical disk 121 rotates to make a track jump.
