PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a futon (mat) storing bag in which no dioxine is produced even if the bag is ignited and a disadvantage of engaging with a selector machine when the bag is applied for its delivery service can be prevented from being generated. SOLUTION: A transparent member (or an opaque member) mainly made of polypropylene for use in recognizing a stored mat from outside is used at a part of a bag main body 1a of this mat storing bag 1 (for example, both a front surface 3a and a rear surface 3b) and non-woven fabric 2 is used at the other portion. The mat storing bag 1, at its substantial upper half part, can be easily opened or closed by a slide fastener 4. At both sides of the mat storing bag 1 corresponding to the portion of the aforesaid non-woven fabric 2, there is provided each of hook engaging rings 6a, 6b for use in removably engaging with the hook portions at both ends of a shoulder hanging strap used when the mat storing bag 1 is transferred. In the case that this bag is used for a mat delivery service, the mat storing bag 1 already storing the mat and having the shoulder strap removed from it is delivered to a home delivery business man, the mat storing bag 1 is hardly hooked with a classifying machine.
