<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a treating agent for perishables suitable for carrying out the drying treatment of the perishables by a method other than drying in the sun, dehumidification and drying with hot air or cold air and capable of providing high-quality products by filling a drying agent in a packaging bag having a specific water vapor transmission rate. SOLUTION: This treating agent for perishables is obtained by filling a drying agent (e.g. a silica gel) in a packaging bag composed of a laminated film of at least two layers and having 200-5,000 g/m2/24 h water vapor transmission rate. The resultant treating agent for the perishables is suitable for carrying out the drying treatment of the perishables such as fresh fishes and shellfishes by a method other than the drying in the sun, dehumidification and drying with hot air or cold air and is capable of controlling the drying rate and providing dried products having a good finish quality similar to that of products dried in the sun such as dried fishes. The laminated film is preferably composed of a film such as an ethylene vinyl copolymer, a microporous film polyethylene or a polyethylene-based nonwoven fabric and a film such as a plastic nonwoven fabric, a paper, a perforated polyethylene, Warif (R) or a perforated polyester.</p> |
