PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an elastomer composition having a flame retardancy and also a soil resistance, and useful as an elastic member of an electrophotographic device, especially as the elastic member in contact with the photoreceptor of the electrophotographic device by including a polymer having a halogen group and a polymer having epoxy group in a specific ratio. SOLUTION: This elastomer composition contains (A) a polymer having a halogen group (preferably chloroprene rubber) and (B) a polymer having epoxy group (e.g.; bisphenol A type epoxy resin) in a ratio of 5-20 pt.wt., preferably 8-14 pts.wt. component B based on 100 pts.wt. component A. The component B preferably has 150-500 epoxy equivalent. It is allowed to add and mix an elastic polymer other than the component A (e.g.; isoprene rubber) to the composition in an extent not inhibiting its flame retardancy, and the adding amount is preferably <=10 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. component A. |
