PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open cross section split frame fastening structure in which a vehicle frame having a split open cross section is connected with strength similar to or more than that of an integrally formed body, and in which improvement to installation performance, the optimum design by application of modules, and large saving of cost on rationalization and investment can be achieved. SOLUTION: Split frames 2, 2 of the same open cross sectional form are connected to each other by applying abutment parts 2e, 2e to each other. A connection member 1 having roughly U-shaped cross sectional surface is provided to be overlapped with inner surfaces of both frames 2, 2 around the abutment parts 2e, 2e, applied to an upper surface flange 2a, a lower surface flange 2b and a web 2c of the frame 2, and fixed to the web 2c by a rivet 3. On a web 1c of the connection member 1, a protruded part 1d as one of waveforms is formed, thereby cross sectional surface strength is improved.
