PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict deterioration of operation efficiency by reducing and removing hydrogen gas produced in an absorption refrigerating machine without discharging it to the outside. SOLUTION: Hydrogen gas H2 adhering to a refrigerant liquid level 93 of a condenser 9 is introduced into a treatment tank 91 through an extraction pipe 92 together with refrigerant vapor. Heated oxidized metal is provided in the treatment tank 91 where hydrogen gas and the oxidized metal make contact with each other to produce reduction actin whereby the hydrogen gas is removed and water is produced. The water is refluxed into the condenser 9 through the extraction pipe 92. Thus, the hydrogen gas is removed and the produced water stays in the machine, so that the amount of water mixed into the refrigerant is kept at a proper amount.
