PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent leakage of reaction gas in a furnace when the throwing quantity of cooling material is increased by disposing the hood lower part constructed of hood plates surrounding the front, back and left/right side faces directly above a cooling material throw-in opening, disposing the hood upper part above the hood lower part, and disposing a damper for opening/closing the cooling material throw-in opening movably in a hood. SOLUTION: The hood lower part is constructed of a front hood plate 2, a left side face hood plate 3, a right side face hood plate 4, and a back face hood plate directly above a throw-in opening while covering the opening. An upper surface hood 6 is provided thereon. The upper surface hood 6 is coupled with a suction duct through a flange and the suction duct is provided with.a control valve. Furthermore, a damper 10 for opening/closing the throw-in opening is provided in an environmental smoke collecting hood. Since the line speed of gas flowing into the hood is increased by limiting the suction range of the hood, reaction gas in the furnace is sucked more reliably into an environmental smoke collecting facility and reaction gas is prevented from leaking outdoors.
