PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an actuator by preventing hunting in sliding and displacing a spool from the neutral position and by increasing the return speed in returning the spool to the neutral position. SOLUTION: Pressure receiving chambers 19A, 19B positioned on both ends in the axial direction of a spool slide hole 5, and supply passages 20A, 20B for communicating the pressure receiving chambers 19A, 19B with hydraulic source side ports 3A, 3B are provided on a valve casing 2. Throttle passage 21A, 21B having the passage areas smaller than those of the supply passages 20A, 20B are provided on a spool 12. When the spool 12 is displaced from the neutral position, the cushion action is applied to the spool 12 by the throttle passages 21A, 21B. When the spool 12 is returned to the neutral position the return speed in returning the spool 12 by the supply passages 20A, 20B is increased.
