PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system capable of reducing the number of parts and enhancing reliability. SOLUTION: This lighting system is provided with a lamp 11; a turn-on circuit parts 12 for turning on the lamp 11; a storage battery 14 connected to the turn-on circuit part 12 and charged by a commercial power source 13; and an inspection switch 15 having a push button part 15c interrupting the commercial power source 13 by a switching operation by a pushing of the push button part 15c and turning on the lamp 11 by a feeding from the storage battery 14. In an emergency, the lamp 11 is turned on by a feeding from the storage battery 14. The inspection switch 15 is provided with a state indication light source 15b inside the push button part 15c for keeping a first turn-on state if a charging state of the storage battery 14 is good and for making a second turn-on state if the charging state is bad.
