PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging system in which secret printing can be carried out easily and which can be used efficiently while keeping secrecy. SOLUTION: When a secrete document data is transmitted from a client PC 1 connected through a network to a printer 3, a decision is made when it is a secrete document or not. If it is a secrete document, it is stored in a stacker 5 after forming an image and if a secrete document can not be taken out by a timer means (not shown) even after elapsing a predetermined time, it is fed to a shredder and shredded. A part of the arrangement may be provided independently as a system management section 2 connected with a network.
