PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spray coating method of building material wherein variation in coating amounts and loss of coating material can be reduced, good spray coating can be achieved regardless of irregularities in a board-shaped building material at low cost. SOLUTION: Reciprocating sprays 2a, 2b each having one or more spray nozzles 21 vibrating in a direction normal to the advancing direction of a board- shaped building material 1 are disposed in the advancing direction of the material 1 so as to oppose each other. The interval between the sprays 2a, 2b and the conveying speed of the material are adjusted relative to each other so that fuel is sprayed in such a manner that the loci of coating patterns of the material 1 by means of the spray nozzles 21 of the sprays 2a, 2b have a phase difference of 180 degrees.
