PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified auxiliary bracing, which is mounted and demounted easily to and from a building and by which the vertically erected state of a column is adjusted easily, in the temporary bracing used when a bracing is disposed to the wooden building. SOLUTION: This modified auxiliary bracing has left-right connecting arms 2, 3 composed of a connecting shaft 15, in which a retaining means 16 is arranged at one end and a retaining plate 17 at the other end, and an expansion-contraction adjustable section 1 comprising an expansion-contraction adjustable shaft 4, to which a male screw is formed, the first guide body 5, to which the adjustable shaft 4 is set up rotatably, and the second guide body 6 with a screwing section 10 capable of being screwed to the adjustable shaft 4. The first left-right connecting-arm inserting ports 11, 12 are formed to the first guide body 5, the second left-right connecting-arm inserting holes 13, 14 are formed to the second guide body 6, the left connecting arm 2 is inserted into the second left connecting-arm inserting port 13 and the first left connecting-arm inserting port 11 and retained to the first guide body 5 through the retaining means while the right connecting arm 3 is inserted into the first right connecting-arm inserting port 12 and the second right connecting-arm inserting port 14 and engaged with the second guide body 6 through the retaining means 16, the adjustable shaft 4, the left connecting arm 2 and the right connecting arm 3 are arranged approximately in parallel respectively.
