PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ethanol preparation composition that has hand-roughening alleviation effect excellent in resistances to water and friction and can retain excellent qualities such as good application feeling and the like by long-term storage. SOLUTION: The objective ethanol preparation composition for finger disinfection comprises (A) ethanol, (B) a water-soluble moisturizing agent, (C) an oil- soluble emollient agent selected from (i) lactic esters of formula I (R1 is a 6-18C alkyl, alkenyl), (ii) dicarboxylic esters of the formula: R2OOCR3COOR2 (R2 is a 3-6C alkyl, alkenyl; R3 is a 6-8C alkylene, phenylene), (iii) citric triesters of formula II (R4 is a 3-6C alkyl, alkenyl), (iv) phosphoric triesters of formula III (R5 is a 3-6C alkyl, alkenyl), (D) a pH buffering agent and (E) water.
