PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent waving of a weather strip, maintain a good exterior shape and reliable watertightness between the weather strip and the door panel. SOLUTION: A notch shaped step 15 is formed at the lower end of a basal part 12 of a weather strip 10, on an outside side 60 of the vehicle. At the step 15, a water-resistant sponge 18 which is considerably thicker than the depth of the step 15 is provided. The water-resistant sponge 18 exhibits the same elastic distortion due to contraction at a portion where a clip 40 is positioned and a portion where the clip 40 is not positioned, when the basal part 12 is secured to a door panel 20 with the clip 40. At the same time, the water- resistant sponge maintains watertightness with the door panel 20. |
