PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operating efficiency of an internal combustion engine, reduce costs, and save a space by arranging first and second cylinders in a V-type arrangement, arranging an intake manifold in the space formed on a cross-point of a cylinder shaft, and arranging an intermediate cooler in the intake manifold. SOLUTION: In a V-typed internal combustion engine 42 with a turbo having first and second cylinders 44, 46 arranged so that each inclined cylinder shaft 48 is crossed at a point 50, a center space 52 between first and second cylinders 44, 46 is formed on the axis cross point 50, and an intake manifold 12 composed of an elongated cylindrical small chamber 54 for housing a heat exchange tube bundle 34 is arranged in the center space 52. The tube bundle 34 for forming an intermediate cooler for re-circulated exhaust gas cooperated with a wall of the small chamber 54 is provided with a pair of headers arranged on both ends of the small chamber 54, and a plurality of baffles at clearances for regulating flow of coolant around the tube. |
