PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To check the double entry to a data base at high speed at the time of registering a lot of entry data by comparing an extracted registration ID number with the registration ID of entry data as a registration object and retrieving double entry data included in the entry data of the registration object. SOLUTION: A preparation means 10 prepares a character list table 11 or hash table 12 from the registration ID of entry data as the registration object. A judgment means 13 reads the registration ID of entry data out of a data base 2 and judges whether it is possible for the registration ID to have entry data stored in a data base 3 for registration or not. A retrieval means 14 compares the registration ID, for which the presence of possibility is judged, with the registration ID of entry data stored in the data base 3 for registration so that the double entry data stored in the data base 3 for registration can be retrieved.
