PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve measured length or resolution of a one-dimensional image by dividing a traverse line of an object into multiple regions with plural reflecting mirrors, and combining the reflecting mirrors so that split projected images are aligned same plane. SOLUTION: A traverse line of an object 1 is divided into multiple regions by multiple reflecting mirrors 9-15, and the reflection mirrors 9-15 are combined so that split projected images are aligned in parallel on the same plane. Three reflecting mirrors 13, 14, 15 arranged at the inclination of 45 deg. with respect to the optical axis of a lens 26 project the split traverse line regions on a virtual plane 5 on the optical axis extension line respectively. Reflecting mirrors 9, 10, 11, 12 arranged in parallel with the traverse line of the object 1 are installed, so that the optical path distances from the object 1 to the center of the lens 26 are made equal. Since the projected images 6, 7, 8 exist on the same plane, they are formed on the planes on light-receiving elements 27, 28, 29 side through the lens 26. One-dimensional image of the object 1 can be measured by three pairs of the light-receiving elements 27, 28, 29.
