PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide plastic tweezers inexpensive, particularly suited for disposable use allowing for sanitary management, and having enhanced serviceability. SOLUTION: When two gripping pieces 12, 13 into which a base part 11 is bifurcated are held in a closing direction to grip an article between gripping parts 12a, 13a at their respective tip ends, two streaks of projecting pieces 14a, 14b are raised horizontally parallel to each other on the inner opposite surface of the one gripping piece 12 to provide a guide groove 14 of a recessed cross section. A streak of projecting piece 15a to be engaged in the guide groove 14 while having a length corresponding to the guide groove 14 is raised from the inner opposite surface of the other gripping piece 13 to provide an engaging projecting piece 15 of a projecting cross section. The engaging projecting piece 15 is guided into the guide groove 14 following the closing movements of the gripping pieces 12, 13, and is gradually engaged therein from the base part 11. The guiding movement forces the gripping pieces 12, 13 to be aligned in the proper direction and closed to smoothly grip the article without the gripping parts 12a, 13a at the tip ends deviating from each other.
