PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a drum recorder which can record a plurality of photographs in one stage by varying the format of image arbitrarily within the range of available peripheral length of a clamp drum. SOLUTION: A drum recorder comprises a rotary driven clamp drum 100, means 160 for securing a recording medium M on the mantle 110 of the clamp drum 100, and a recording unit 200 wherein image information being fed, in the form of electric signals, to the recording unit 200 is recorded on a recording medium M secured onto the mantle 110 of the clamp drum 100. A fixing means 120 is provided in the clamp drum 100 in order to support feeding of the recording medium M taken up by means of a roll 130. The clamp drum 100 has a slit 140 in the mantle 110 and the recording medium M is guided from the clamp drum 100 through the slit 140 into the mantle 110 and then secured thereto.
