PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor walk assisting wheel which prevents the user from being dragged and falling while in an unstable attitude, as when stumbled, and which can be operated even by a person with one hand impaired, without the danger of the wheel running away even if the user inadvertently releases it. SOLUTION: This assisting wheel includes a wheel drive motor and control means which perform first control for stopping the drive motor, second control for activating the drive motor, and third control for stopping the drive motor, the second control including control of the rotating speed of the drive motor, and the first, second and third control being effected by means of the stroke of the grip of an operating lever 3 produced by a hand gripping a handle 2. The first control is about 40% or less of the overall stroke and the third control is about 70% or more of the overall stroke while the second control is effected by the stroke between the first and third control. |
