PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure good preservability and a satisfactory silver color tone by forming a layer containing a flaky silver salt of an organic acid on one side of a substrate and holding a reducing agent for silver ions and a specified compound on the same side. SOLUTION: This heat developing material has a layer, containing a flaky silver salt of an organic acid on one side of the substrate, contains a reducing agent for silver ions and a compound of the formula on the same side. In the formula, R1-R4 are each H or a monovalent substituent, L1 and L2 are each a combining group, n1 and n2 are each 0 or 1, M is H or a counter ion, (k) is the valence of M, when M is H, (k) is 1, and when M is H and n1 and n2 are each 0, not all of R1-R4 need to be H. |
