PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a polyester resin composition having high fluidity and excellent mechanical strength and tenacity and useful for producing thin-walled molded products or the like by adding a vinyl polymer to an oligomer or polymer of a polyester in a specific content while polymerizing the polyester. SOLUTION: The object resin composition is prepared by adding to (A) 100 pts.wt. oligomer or polymer of a molten polyester while polymerizing the polyester (B) 0.5-25 pts.wt. vinyl polymer preferably after the number average molecular weight of the ingredient A exceeds 5,000. The ingredient A is obtained e.g. by reacting terephthalic acid with ethylene glycol and has preferably 15,000-30,000 number average molecular weight. The ingredient B is obtained e.g. by reacting butyl acrylate with styrene and has preferably 2,000-100,000 weight average molecular weight.
