AMORPHOUS POLY(ETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE) RESIN COMPOSITION FOR CALENDERING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare the subject resin composition where peelability from a hot metal roll is excellent in a calendering process and a sheet-form molded product excellent in transparency and surface smoothness can be economically produced by blending organic phosphates with an amorphous poly(ethylene terephthalate) resin in a specific content. SOLUTION: This resin composition includes (A) 100 pts.wt. amorphous poly(ethylene terephthalate) resin preferably comprising 100 mol% terephthalic acid, 65-80 mol% ethylene glycol and 20-35 mol% 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol and (B) 0.1-5 pts.wt. at least one of an organic phosphate (e.g. tridecyl polyoxyethylene phosphate or the like) of the formula: R1O(CH2CH2O)nPO[O (CH2CH2O)mR2]2-Y(OH)Y [wherein, R1 and R2 are each a 4-24C alkyl or the like; Y is 1 or 2; (n) and (m) are each 1-100] and a fatty acid ester (preferably montanoic acid glyceride or the like).
