MEDICAMENT COMPOSITION FOR ACCELERATING RECOVERY OF ANIMAL TREATED WITH BONE MARROW TRANSPLANTATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a medicament composition helpful for accelerating recovery of animals treated with bone marrow transplantation by including a specific quantity of glutamine (or its functional analogue having the characteristic of glutamine). SOLUTION: The objective composition is prepared by including glutamine (or its functional analogue having the characteristic of glutamine) in a more quantity than that included in the diet of animals at normal times. Animals are e.g. ones including human being and classified as Mammalia. The functional analogue having the characteristic of glutamine is e.g. a compound having an amino acid residue at one end of a carbon chain and an amino part at the other end. Glutamine (or its functional analogue having the characteristic of glutamine) can be administered both enterally and parenterally. The daily dose of glutamine (or its functional analogue having the characteristic of glutamine) is preferably 0.2-3.0 g/(kg of body weight) [more preferably 0.3-2.5 g/(kg of body weight) and further more preferably 0.4-2.0 g/(kg of body weight)] when administered parenterally.
