PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the overall height of an engine, and improve cooling capability of an ignition plug by arranging an intake/exhaust valve on a lower part of a combustion chamber, and arranging a camshaft for driving the intake/ exhaust valve on a lower part of the intake/exhaust valve, in a device wherein a cylinder main body is slantly arranged on one side of a crankcase. SOLUTION: In an engine main body 1 of a slanted SOCH engine, a fuel tank 4 is mounted on an upper part, and a cylinder main body 3 is arranged upward slantly in a diameter direction of the crankshaft 6 which is horizontally arranged in a crankcase 2. An intake/exhaust valve 11 and an ignition plug 12 are arranged facing to a combustion chamber 10a in a cylinder head 10 fitted to the cylinder main body 3. In this case, the intake/exhaust valve 11 is arranged downward the combustion chamber 10a, a stem end 11a of the intake/exhaust valve 11 is protruded in the right direction, and a camshaft 14 is arranged downward the stem end 11a and at a position nearly lower than the crankshaft 6. The intake/exhaust valve 11 is opened/closed through a rocker arm 15 with rotation of the camshaft 14.
