PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make this controller perform engine control, namely, the vehicle driving so properly even in time of trouble in various current consumers, and simultaneously to have it inexpensively realized. SOLUTION: A battery power source is supplied to those of current consumers A1 to AN governing engine control and an electrinic control unit 20 for controlling the drive of various current consumers via a fuse 11 and a main relay 12, and likewise this battery power source is supplied to those of current consumers B1 to Bn being directly unrelated to the engine control via a fuse 13. A microcomputer 22 in this electronic control unit 20 controls the drive of the current consumers A1 to AN via an output buffer 23, while it controls the drive of the current consumers B1 to BN via an output buffer 24 which is provided with a transistor 24a for consumer driving and a diode 24b for flyback energy reflux, respectively. In such a case, if flyback energy is produced attendant upon the interruption of energization in the current consumers B1 to BN, the flyback energy is returned to the side of a power supply line of these current consumers B1 to BN via the diode 24b.
