PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal printer apparatus which can improve a printing quality. SOLUTION: A CPU 11 calculates a head-impressed pulse width common to heating elements on the basis of a head temperature measured by a head temperature-measuring part 15 and a head-impressed voltage measured by a head voltage-measuring part 16, also calculates a rest pulse width when a head impress pulse is stopped while taking a drive history of each heating element into account and, outputs to a thermal head 17 via a head-driving part 14 a heating element-driving pulse which has at least one of a front part and a rear part of the head impress pulse selectively stopped so that a sum of the front part and rear part corresponds to the rest pulse width.
