PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control valve for refrigeration cycle which has control property approximate to the optimum control line (condensation zone to supercritical zone) computed tentatively from system efficiency, and controls the degree of supercooling of a refrigerant on the side of condenser outlet, covering a wide area, and also can cope with supercritical zone, too. SOLUTION: In the control valve for refrigeration cycle, which operates by the balancing relation between the valve opening force by the pressure of a refrigerant and the valve closing force by a heat-sensitive valve closing spring 25 and controls the refrigerant condition on the outlet side of a condenser 2, of a ball valve element 17 which receives the pressure of the refrigerant in valve opening direction on the outlet side of the condenser 2 with its effective pressure receiving face and receives the spring force of the heat-sensitive valve closing spring 25 with its effective pressure receiving face, the heat-sensitive valve closing spring 25 is constituted of heat-sensitive material having positive property to the temperature of a bimetal or the like, and the heat-sensitive valve closing spring 25 senses the temperature of the refrigerant on the outlet side of the condenser 2, and increases the spring load, according to the rise of the refrigerant temperature on outlet side of the condenser 2.
