PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery capable of being manufactured by a simple and safe method, having large battery capacity and a long cycle lifetime. SOLUTION: This nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery has a positive electrode 10 obtained by forming a positive electrode mixture layer 12 containing a lithium transition metal complex oxide as a positive electrode active material on a surface of a positive electrode current collector 11 made of aluminum; and a negative electrode 20 containing graphite material as a negative electrode active material. The positive electrode 10 has a positive electrode mixture layer non-formed part 13 wherein the positive electrode mixture layer 12 is not formed on the surface of the positive electrode current collector 11, while a prescribed amount of lithium 15 is stuck on the positive electrode mixture layer non-formed part 13. The negative electrode 20 is obtained by forming a negative mixture layer containing the graphite material as the negative electrode active material on a surface of a negative electrode current collector made of a metal, while lithium is also stuck on a negative electrode mixture layer non-formed part 23. |
