PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk system which avoids the drop of throughput due to controller load increase caused by the increase of the number of disks. SOLUTION: Plural disk arrays 86, 91 and 96 are connected to fiber channel loops 80 and 81, each disk array is subjected to function sharing as to whether a sequential command is preferentially processed or whether a random command is preferentially processed, a network managing part 97 decides whether a command from a host computer 70 is a sequential command or a random command, and the command is made to be processed by a disk array corresponding to the decision. Thus, it is possible to configure a disk drive of disk arrays in accordance with command characteristics and to realize high throughput performance at a low cost.
