PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate transmission of data by a device which transmits data by using optical signals by mounting an optical port capable of transmitting optical signals to the main body of a universal serial bus(USB) port hub. SOLUTION: The display 10 is mounted with the up port 11 and down port 12 of a USB port. The computer main body 13 of a personal computer, etc., is connected to this up port 11, and a printer 14 is connected to the down port 12. Further, the display 10 is mounted with the optical port 16. The optical port 16 is so constituted that it can send and receive light data by infrared rays, but the carrier is not limited to the infrared rays. The optical port 16 is connected to a USB controller 15 through a format conversion part 17. The format conversion part 17 converts optical signals inputted through the optical port 16 into USB signals and converts USB signals inputted through the USB controller 15 to optical signals and sends them to the optical port 16.
