PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographic printing apparatus and a photographic printing method capable of obtaining an enlarged image, without changing photosensitive material merely by inputting enlarging magnification, and capable of folding the obtained image compactly and obtaining the image convenient for carrying and preservation. SOLUTION: A controller 10 of this apparatus, which is provided with a scanner 7 scanning an image frame, is equipped with an A/D conversion part 10a for converting the image information of the image frame into digital image information, a data memory 10b preserving the digital image information, a data division processing part 10c for dividing the digital image information into plural, based on information from an information input part 20 so as to obtain the divided digital image information, and an enlarging processing part 10d for enlarging the divided digital image information and a central control part 10e for transferring the interpolated divided digital image information, and controls exposure for the photosensitive material by actuating a digital exposing head 15 based on the transferred divided digital image information.
