PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stack size setting device for realizing the valid use of a memory and the improvement of system performance, and for reducing the labor of a human being by estimating the optimal stack size by the execution of a load module without any logical estimation of a human being. SOLUTION: This stack size setting device for setting the optimal stack size in a load module is provided with a user test scenario 109 for holding a command pattern, a load module execution controlling means 101 for executing the load module operating on an operating system based on the command pattern, a measuring means 102 for measuring the value of a pointer related with the stack at the time of the execution of the load module, a stack size estimating means 103 for estimating the stack size based on the pointer value related with the stack and a stack base address, and a means 103 for setting the estimated stack size in a load module 104.
