PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oxidation dyeing composition for human hair or the like, exhibiting good resistance to an attach factors from which fiber may suffer and capable of giving coloring having strong chromaticity by including an oxidation base and a specific coupler into a medium without including an additional oxidation base. SOLUTION: This oxidation dyeing composition is obtained by including (B) an oxidation base comprising a substituted para-aminophenol (acid additive salts) of the formula [R1 is H, F, a 1-4C (monohydroxy)alkyl or the like; R2 is H, F, a 1-4C (amino)alkyl or the like, with the proviso that at least one of R1 and R2 is H] and (C) a coupler comprising 1,3-bis(β-hydroxyethyl)amino-2- methylbenzene (acid addition salts) into (A) a medium without including an additional oxidation base selected from a pyrimidine (derivative) and 2-β- hydroxyethyl-para-phenyldiamine (acid addition salts).
